this is so true for me. i am ashamed of the idols i cling to even as i pray for God to do his work. only realizing after the prayer has been answered that i was pointed in a false direction. more often than i like to admit, i'm trying to dictate the work i think God should be doing. one of my idols is believing i know what i really need. forgive me, Lord.
